Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro OcasioRuiz (born January 10, 1993) popularly referred to as Rauw Alejandro, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He is often referred to as the "King of Modern Reggaeton".[2][3] He belongs to the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. The album he released his debut, Afrodisiaco (studio album), was released in November , 2020. Vice Versa the second album of his studio, came out in June of 2021. It featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". He has been awarded two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Olasio Ruiz was conceived in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the 10th January 1993. His family was raised in Carolina and Canovanas. [4][5] His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a guitarist , and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his backing vocalist. They introduced him to the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. Alejandro and his father lived for many years in the United States. They mainly settled in New York City and Miami. Alejandro and Anuel, who is a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood friends. They both attended the same school and took part in classes. 9/10/10 Alejandro was a part of school talent shows when he was a kid since he was a lover of dancing. After finishing high school, Alejandro attended the University of Puerto Rico. He played soccer from six to twenty-five. However, he decided to stop playing because he didn't perform at the level he hoped. When he was 20, his injury was a major one. He moved to Orlando, Florida to attempt to be scouted in the Premier Development League (PDL) but was ultimately not successful. Rauw Alejandro's music style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. Also, he enjoys songs that are rhythmic and ballads. Billboard stated that this has made him make a name for himself among a growing group of reggaetones who are influenced by pop. [23] He was inspired early on by Presley and Jackson as well as later on by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown. He also cites Ciara as a major influence on his music.
