Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4 1976 at Hillsborough, California to Monty Silverstone and Deidre Radford. There are half-siblings in her father's previous marriage. She is typical of the upper middle class childhood and was raised in San Francisco. Silverstone began modeling at the age of six after which she starred in her first commercial on television to promote Domino's Pizza. Silverstone went to Crocker Middle and San Mateo High Schools. In 1992 she had her first role credited in The Wonder Years. The show was highly praised for her performance by both critics and viewers, and also won an award. The same year, she was featured on two Aerosmith's songs videos Cryin and Amazing. The year 1993 saw her appeared in television films such as Torch Song and Scattered Dreams.
